New York City has announced that it is hiring emergency shovelers to help clear snow and ice from bus stops and hydrants. The New York City Department of Sanitation has officially begun recruiting for the 2024-25 winter season. Pay starts at $18 per hour, and applicants must be at least 18 years old to qualify.
