After watching the movie “Sinners,” which stars Michael B. Jordan in a double role, I decided to share my honest review. Initially, I understood that the film was about vampires, but it took a long time for the vampire aspect to unfold. This had me questioning if that was really the focus of the movie. However, once the vampire scenes arrived, everything came together.

Without giving up the plot, the movie was set in Mississippi during the prohibition days. Michael B Jordan and his twin brother (played by him), returned home to open a club. On opening day of the club, the place is visited by vampires. What’s unique about these vampires, is that they can not come inside your house, unless their invited inside. the flip side of that is the leader of the vampires, is very persuasive. He offers peace, fellowship and external life, to those who join him.

The task in the story is figure out how to stay alive until the sun comes out. Which isn’t as easy as said, because a few of the characters inside the club, love ones are outside the club, trying to even get them to come outside or invite the vampires inside. Michael B Jordan, did a wonderful job, playing a set of twins. I also give Delroy Lindo credit for his role in the movie as a musician, with a drinking problem.

The movie is doing extremely well in the box office, and if I had to rate it on a scale of 1-10 I will give it an 8. I call it an vampire movie that was created thinking outside of the box. Sinners is definitely worth a trip to the movies theater.
