Vincent Troy Burgess aka “Big Troy” grew up in St Nicholas in Harlem New York City. Growing up Troy was always bigger than the average kid his age. At the age of 16 Troy got into some trouble with the law and was sent to prison for 21 years for allegedly killing another neighborhood kid.
After being released from prison a change in Troy’s behavior was evident, He was friendly, warmer, and had become a protector and mediator for the community. He was loved, by friends and family, which is why the Harlem Community was crushed when they found out that Troy had lost his life due to health complications early this month.
We at “Black Perspective News” would like to send our condolences to the Burgess family and want them to know that Troy Burgess aka Big Troy is loved and will always be missed by us.
