Back in 1992, the group Wreckx -n- Effect had the number one song “Rump Shaker” on the charts. However what most people didn’t know was behind the scenes was a rapper named Nutta Butta, who helped pen classic songs by groups like Wreckx-n-Effect, Janet Jackson, MC Hammer, and Will Smith.
He had legendary verses on the group “Black Girls” “90’s Girl” song and A Party Ain’t a Party by Queen Pen Which featured the Lost Boyz.
Fast Forward to 2023 Nutta Butta is the owner of Hoodvard Clothing Line. The brand carries Hats, hoods, T-shirts, Sweatpants, Jackets and Sweatsuits.
Born in the Bronx and raised in Harlem, Nutta Butta loved music, fashion, and sports as a child. He got his break when he got the opportunity to go to Virginia Beach and write for Markell Riley (Wreckx-n-Effect Member), and the younger brother of Teddy Riley.
Even though Nutta Butta hasn’t abandoned his love for music, it’s good to see him getting the chance to tap into his other love which is the love for fashion.
